New Version 0.7.5.4 – Zwift Trainers
This new minor update finally brings support for native virtual gears for all Zwift compatible trainers, namely Zwift Hub (classic and one), Wahoo Kickr Core and Kickr Move, and JetBlack Victory. The simulation for these trainers is better than in Zwift, because GT Bike V changes the resistance based on the terrain type and wind, something Zwift does not do.
You can choose now “Native” in the device menu option for Virtual gearing. Gears can be changed using Zwift Click, Zwift Play, Zwift Ride and of course the computer keyboard (default are Numpad keys 7 and 9, but you can configure others).
If you don’t have one of those trainers you can still use Virtual Gearing, but only the one simulated by the mod, which I must admit is not as good as the Native.
Remember that you can tweak the gear ratios available editing them in the configuration file.
Apart from that, this update includes
- Improvement in log collection handling (no more hiccups while collecting and sending logs)
- Improvement in course navigation to fix a crash that happened when browsing too fast
- Power mode (workouts) also works properly now for all the Zwift compatible trainers.
